The 80C86 microprocessor adds a proven design and low power to high performance defense systems. MIL-883B processing allows full implementation of CMOS products in military designs. Obvious advantages include a reduction in critical system operating power and power supply requirements, sealable enclosures, and higher density packaging. System reliability is improved due to lower ambient and junction temperatures and the high radiation tolerance of the CMOS process.
