Describes Toshiba power feeding system and transformers and safety operation assurance systems for this electric railway. Technological features are as follows: (1) long span nonsection feeding system powered by autotransformer power feeding, (2) 275 kV ultrahigh tension power reception, (3) large-capacity feeding system adopting a 150MVA modified woodbridge connection transformer, (4) switching facility using a vacuum circuit-breaker, (5) gapless surge arrester use, excellent in salty sea air proofing and surge current mitigation performance, (6) substation control system using a sequence controller operating with microprocessors, (7) neighboring interlocking system adoption for feeding system safety operation assurance, and (8) substation control panel automatic monitoring.
