The new Army Tactical Digital Microwave Radio (DMR) will be designed to replace Radio Set AN/GRC-144 in both radio relay and 'down-the-hill' multichannel applications. The DMR will be designed to have a high degree of electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM) capability. It will be modular in design so as to provide several configurations to meet specific needs of path length, channel capacity, ECM environment, set-up time etc. at a minimum cost and with maximum equipment and circuit reliability.
