Describes an automatic air traffic control and surveillance system, designated AN/FYK-17(V), used by the US Navy. The system is the first to use colour graphic displays for air traffic control and it monitors commercial and military aircraft and strips using information from FAA and Air Force radars as well as data from the Navy's Tactical Data System. Unlike present monochrome ATC displays, the system will enable weather data, aircraft data, targets, and schedule information to be segmented by colour and various intensity levels.
