Investigates improvements in navigational safety obtainable by use of a multipurpose ergatic system for marine vessel collision prevention. The method of nonlinear integral invariance is used for synthesis of such a system because it provides the greatest possibilities for activity and homeostasis. This decreases the number of erroneous decisions made by the ship's navigator, decreases the intensity of his work, and, as a result, improves the reliability of the entire vessel control loop.
