Low cost, automatic, secure and reliable digital communications are being developed for the United States military forces through the TRI-TAC program. One of the TRI-TAC developments, the Unit Level Circuit Switch (ULCS) family, comprising the AN/TTC-42 and the SB-3865 at 150 lines and 30 lines, respectively, provides reliable, affordable and highly mobile telephone switching equipments for unit level organizations such as division and brigade as well as the smaller echelons at the corps level.
