Describes a method of optimising baffle sunshades used frequently to protect satellite-borne detectors from reflected sunlight. Two programs have been written for the HP-41C calculator, one determining the optimal internal measurements of a two-stage sunshade, the other providing a quick, easy solution to locating proper baffle positions within the shade.
