The Comprehensive Royal Navy Supply Service Inventory Systems Project (CRISP) of the Director General for Supply and Transport (Navy) is a Ministry of Defence computer system which will perform inventory control and related tasks for the shore based support of the RN. It replaces a number of existing systems which are nearing the end of their life. It is based on ICL 2900 hardware with communications links to naval bases, supply depots and HQ inventory control points covering data transmission of bulk input and output, direct terminal enquiries and interactive I/O.
