Describes the electronic ignition system of the Chrysler-Simca Horizon which consists of a coil under the clutch housing, an amplifier in the left hand front wheel arch, an HT distributor, and centrifugal advance by vacuum, and an impulse generator. The primary coil current flows via a blocking transistor in the amplifier. It is interrupted by an impulse from the Hall effect impulse generator of which brief details are given, with simple diagrams. The working of the system is explained briefly and graphs of voltage/engine speed are compared with the conventional type.
