Surveys the development of military weaponry since the end of the 2nd World War (use of dm/cm waves, doppler effect, radar, computers, guided missiles) and speculates on the effects of miniaturisation and microelectronics on fire power and communications and the impact of these developments on staff training at a Dutch military college. The new developments demand more specialised technical knowledge, with less emphasis on management, in staff training.
