An automatic calculating system for ship positions has been developed by introducing a computer, and can be applied to such methods as Omega, great circle, Mercator, and astronomical navigation. The navigating officer puts the primary data into the control console; then the positions are calculated according to the pre-determined program of each navigating method, and the results are displayed on the visual projector, being printed out at the same time.
