This paper provides an overview of the two warrantly concepts which are currently being used by the U.S. Army Aviation System Commmand (AVSCOM) to fulfil the legislative requirements for warrantly in weapon system procurements. A comparison of the two approaches is provided along with conclusions discussing the potential impact of warrantly on future reliability requirement for Army aviation.
