In this paper, the theories of linear induction motors (LIMs) adequate for both the supersonic-speed ground transportation and the electromagnetic launchers, paving the way for launching the solar power satellites, are presented. A five sophisticated models of LIMs with synchronous speed up to 46 (forty six) kilometers per second are presented. The conditions necessary to establish the design considerations of LIMs with hypersonic synchronous speeds, and with efficiencies over than 90 % are derived.
