An autarc dead-reckoning navigational system is described, which is of modular and compact construction. An ingenious calibration procedure helps, even the layman, to fit the system into any automobile without problems. The system operates with almost any map or city plan with both metric and imperial scale factors. Great importance is attached to clarity and functionality. This is accomplished by the use of five keys and a special menu-structure. The most modern technologies are applied for sensors, electronics and display. These technologies determine the accuracy and the comfort of the system.
