This paper describes an advanced EHF/SHF antenna/radome subsystem developed for the AFWAL Avionics Laboratory (WPAFB). This antenna/radome subsystem is part of a total EHF/SHF SATCOM (Satellite Communications) Terminal which will be utilized for the conducting of flight-test experiments with a new DOD Satellite System. An initial version of this subsystem was designed to the frequency requirements of an earlier proposed satellite system. The antenna/radome subsystem, described herein, is a redesigned effort for frequency compatibility with the new satellite system.
