The advantages offered by the techniques outlined, together with the availability of fast computing facilities, has resulted in a considerable saving in both cost and time at the development and prototype stages of a new system. Design modification to any component part of a subsystem simply means alteration to the relevant subnetwork equations, without affecting the remainder of the program.
