The mission of the United States Air Force Academy is to provide instruction and experience to all cadets so that they graduate with the knowledge and character essential to leadership and the motivation to become career officers in the United States Air Force. The engineering component of the core curriculum consists of eight courses. The Department of Electrical Engineering offers three courses taken by non-EEs: the required two course core sequence (1. digital signals and systems. 2. signals and systems) and an elective instrumentation oriented course which builds on the core sequence.
