A unique concept has been developed and demonstrated which enhances the ability of maintenance personnel to support complex systems. The concept is based upon making available to the technician all of the information and aides necessary to perform the maintenance task, while relieving him of the tasks associated with data handling. Implementation of this concept will reverse the trend of decreasing productivity (thru-put) which has resulted from increasing complexity of equipment, high turn over of personnel, decreasing technician skill level and the proliferation of paper.
