This paper presents experimental results of electromagnetic field strength attenuation of a missile nose cone over the frequency range of 10 kHz to 11 GHz. The attenuation values were established by monitoring the field strength levels inside the missile nose cone corresponding to the known levels of field strength incident on the missile dome. The paper also presents data on attenuation enhancement achieved by using different size wire grids on the missile dome.
