Using the in-flight calibration information from the Coastal Zone Colour Scanner(CZCS) housekeeping data for various dates, it is shown that the radiance from the calibration lamp is changing considerably with time. This changing radiance is shown to be consistent with a change in the temperature of the calibration lamp from its nominal value of 2000 K. Thus there is a need to find a way to determine the correct value of the radiance from the calibration lamp.
