Features of the antenna control system developed are as follows: A ship equipped with the system reaches its destination quickly and safely by the displays of present position and bow direction, even in circumstances of poor visibility. The microwave TV line is secured by the automatic directional control of the antenna. The line is also protected from fading, inevitable for overseas propagation, by predicting risky areas before the ship's departure. All of the above are achieved solely by calculations; i.e., any other wireless lines, antennas or equipment are unnecessary. The system is therefore compact and movable, allowing good maneuverability, especially important in news gathering. The system has been succesfully used in broadcasting the scenes of yacht races, fishing and other events on the sea.
