The application of Liquid crystal Displays (LCDs) to automobiles has grown exponentially because of their flat-screen display construction. However, problems relating to LCD system construction including the connection technology make it difficult to apply LCDs to large-area automobile instruments. The best-suited connection technique between LCD panels and drive circuit components is the soldering method used to effect adhesion. This paper describes a new construction approach for LCD devices which uses a new connection method and the chip on flexible printed circuit board (Flexible PCB) technique.
