A major question in SGEMP testing and analysis deals with the relationship between electrical testing, photon testing and analysis. The complexity of the interpretation of experimental results and the large size of SGEMP computer codes makes this a non-trivial comparison. This paper presents a comparison of part of the data resulting from a series of photon, electrical and calculational exercises on a structural model of the Skynet I; Future results will include comparisons with MRC photon tests and previous tests on the Skynet qualification model. Analytic models were used to unterstand the result produced by the code calculations and the experiments. Simple analytic circuit models representing electromagnetic modes of the system show promise of being reasonably accurate predictive tools for rapid computation of the electromagnetic response.
