Design considerations are made on the superconducting magnet as a Maglev pad. Thes uperconducting magnet, called L-type because of its geometry, has two superconducting coils. One is vertically oriented for thrust and guidance, while the other is horizontally oriented fors uspension, in one cryostat. The two superconducting coils are both 4 m in length, extremely long in comparison with those that have been constructed so far.
