"Weathervision", a new type of airborne weather radar indicator, which provides an improved bright TV-like display that eliminates most cockpit adjustments, is also expected to lower system maintenance costs. It was developed by Bendix, uses a conventional CRT and employs digital microcircuitry to perform the storage function with several by product advantages. The display is regenerated 50 times each sec. Radar data are converted from analog to digital format. It can consistently display four different levels of precipitation intensity.
