Nasa is conducting shuttle landing simulations to determine shuttle's requirements for ground navigation aids. The system integrates all the sensors and performs all the navigation, guidance and control functions required for the shuttle simulation. It includes necessary cockpit displays and sidearm controller used with a flight director to enable manually controlled landings to be simulated.
