Modular area navigation (R-Nav) system developed by Hamilton Standard Div. of United Aircraft. Full three-dimensional navigation capability in a 14-lb. package designed primarily for use by regional and third-level carriers, as well as large corporate jet airplanes. The new system, designated HSN-720, provides for storage and display of up to 16 R-Nav waypoints, including altitude at each fix. It is expected to be available by early 1973 at a base price of 11500 dollars.
