As the wear of wheels and rails on railways of some countries is still very high it is interesting to study the different reasons of this phenomena. In particular, the studies of the influence of the vehicle state on the wheel wear under operational conditions are important. Two types of locomotives were examined in this paper. The equations of their spatial vibrations were solved by numerical integration methods. The obtained results are under discussion.
