STIREMOD is an expanded version of an earlier vehicle simulation tire model designed for the full range of operating conditions (slip, camber, normal load) on both paved and off-road surfaces. Within a vehicle dynamics simulation tire model parameter sets can be changed dynamically to reflect the local operating condition of each tire. This paper summarizes the general tire model structure, data sources, parameter identification and model fits to tire test data.
