A novel test case representative of modern inland waterway ships is established for provision of reference data for benchmarking of numerical methods. Hull geometry, main particulars and appendages for propulsion and manoeuvring are introduced. Results of resistance and propulsion model tests in shallow water condition are described and discussed. Design peculiarities, challenges for model experiments and computations are addressed.
