A pressure-correction method with an implicit scheme is used to solve the time accurate distributions of floodwater and air pressure inside a damaged ship. Only the progress of the floodwater and the airflows inside the ship are considered; changes in the floating position of the ship are excluded. The method is applied to three test cases. The results show that the compression of air and the airflows have significant effects on the flooding rates.
