A dynamic multi-body, spatial model of an articulated unsprung earth-moving machine - a mining bucket loader - is presented. The ride dynamics of this vehicle when travelling the random terrain surface roughness is modelled. The results are a basis for the application of finite element programs to predict mean life of bucket loader frames and working systems on the ground of a cumulative damage criterion on a machine design stage.
