Modelling of a high-speed MAGLEV train including the whole mechanical system of one vehicle with optimised suspension parameters and all controlled electro magnet pairs in vertical and lateral directions is discussed and simulation code is generated based on SIMULINK/MATLAB. For the control system design, linear quadratic control for minimum control energy is used for each single mass magnet. Simulation results are presented with vertical and lateral random guide way irregularities with comparison of individual and modal control for vertical levitation magnets.
