A high-accuracy method is proposed that is used at the static strength tests of full-scale aircraft structures under loading up to failure. The study of the method by means of the kinematic model of plane deformation confirms that it has great opportunities concerning minimization of measuring errors. The estimations obtained for the errors of the principal plane deformations measured by the multicomponent rosettes are intercompared and they are also compared with the estimations of the metrological method and with the estimations of the conventional method that uses the three-component foil rosette.
