A high-speed EMU refers to a modular train marshalling with motor cars and trailers or with multiple motor cars permanently coupled together in a specified manner to realize the specific function, which has an onboard power supply, with a fixed formation, and can be operated from both ends. The operation method and maintenance system are different from locomotive and rolling stock.
