The contexts of the studies reviewed in this chapter include automated and autonomousAutonomousdrivingDriving, human–robot interaction, multiagentMultiagent management, and human-swarm interaction. The review also covers empirical studies on individual and cultural differences and their effects on human interaction with transparent interfaces. Finally, emergingEmerging areas such as eXplainable AI and their implicationsImplications for transparency research are discussed.
