The development and improvement of aviation centres has triggered the gradual establishment of ultra-large airport transportation platforms. This project experienced various issues such a serious environmental hazards and development of traditional costal airports. Compared to land airport, floating airports experienced serious damages caused by extreme environment such as huge waves, typhoons and tsunamis. They are vulnerable to destruction as a result of natural disasters, and environmental erosion. With current increased technological development and studies, the need to establishment better maritime equipment and structures has a present reality. There have been limited research on the effects of typhoons on super-large floating bodies leading to the existence of a large research gap in this field. Our research objective is the effects of large wave load and hydroelastic effects of typhoon transit on ultra-large floating offshore airports.
