A vehicle camera represents the “eyes” of vehicle intelligence and is the core of the driving visual assistance system. Its image quality directly determines a driver's early-warning and driving safety. This study aims at the essential technical requirements for the vehicle imaging equipment’s output image quality evaluation, and devises a method for data collection, processing, and analysis of sharpness for vehicle imaging quality evaluation. It also establishes a vehicle-imaging quality assessment process to sharpness. The results have a great actual application value for vehicle intelligence.
