Over the years, the quantity and geographical characterization of emissions have been considered for valuation in maritime transport. Activity-based (bottom-up) or fuel-based (top-down) methodological approaches have been applied over time, to quantify emissions. In the present study a “bottom-up” or “activity-based” method has been used to estimate emissions based on detailed individual activities of cruise ships, in Greece.
