Abstract In this paper, a process of impulse electrochemical machining (cutting) of the basic functional structural elements (ridges, combs, brushes) of aerodynamic seals used in GTEs and steam turbines is considered. Also presented are the description of technological and design schemes of electrochemical shaping of ridges and the data on mathematical modelling and studies of the main technological characteristics.
