Abstract An algorithm of aerodynamic control is suggested for the descent of a spacecraft with a small lift-to-drag ratio into a predetermined region of space. The algorithm provides for an oriented descent with accepted accuracy for a subsequent operation of the landing control system. It needs less computing in comparison with traditional algorithms due to reduction of the initial nonlinear boundary value problem to the Cauchy problem.
