Maritime security has always been given high priority in Russia. On April 22, 2000, the Government of the Russian Federation adopted Regulation 324, approving the federal statute of protection for the maritime industry from unlawful acts against the safety of maritime navigation. The paper describes measure taken and planned to ensure implementation of Chapter XI-2 and ISPS Code in the Russian Federation.
