Autonomous driving is the product of the deep integration of the automobile industry and the new generation of information technology. Among them, environmental perception technology is one of the vital essential technologies for realizing automatic driving. It is the premise of realizing safe and intelligent driving in complex road conditions. Existing environmental perception technologies for autonomous vehicles are generally based on sensors such as vision sensors, millimeter-wave RaDARs, and LiDARs. This chapter aims to gain an understanding and mastery of autonomous driving perception and critical developments.
