Chapter 5 deals with the core tasks of management. The top management has a non-delegable responsibility for quality and therefore has a duty to lead the organisation and to promote and ensure operational customer and quality orientation.

    Therefore clear “leadershipLeadership“ behavior is required. The management must not only instruct but also convey where it wants to “take” the employees. It should be possible to raise awareness and motivate staff to contribute their share to achieving the long-term goals of the organisation.
