The phenomenon of transport congestion has an increasing impact on the functioning of the entire transport system. One of the ways to reduce congestion in cities is to facilitate movement using various means of public transport by providing an attractive and clear transport tariff. The purpose of the article is a comparative analysis of transport tariffs operating in selected agglomerations in Poland, i.e. in the GZM Metropolis and in the Łódź Metropolis. Additionally, the article describes the ticket distribution channels in selected cities in Poland. With the use of the QGIS software, the locations of places where it is possible to purchase tickets for the journey were presented. In addition, isochrones were constructed to show the pedestrian accessibility to the ticket distribution channels. The obtained results allow the conclusion that the pedestrian accessibility to the ticket distribution channels is good in central areas, but insufficient on the outskirts of cities.
