Aerodynamic characteristics over a triangle-shaped flapping wing are analyzed numerically using commercial CFD code, Fluent™. The three-dimensional geometry and mesh are created using preprocessor GAMBIT. Transient laminar flow characteristics are studied and the results are presented in terms of pressure distribution, lift, and drag coefficients. It is observed that during the upstroke the lift coefficient reaches to the maximum positive value and its value falls down to the minimum negative value during the downstroke. However because of the symmetric flapping the average lift coefficient over a flap cycle is zero, which is consistent with the results obtained earlier.
