Abstract This paper is focused on testing of technological possibilities of variants of transport concept of long-distance railway passenger between Praha - Ústí and Labem - Dresden/Cheb. The aim is to check if it makes sense to strengthen transport supply in these relations even on current railway infrastructure. At first, there is described the existing operational conception in researched relations from the point of view of technical and technological boundary conditions. Then, there are analyzed these relations in the area of transport demand, on which basis the extent of supply is tested for new conceptual possibilities of these long-distance lines. Formulation of technological conditions restricting construction of trains paths of these lines follows, whereupon the individual variants are checked from the constructional point of view. Designed model periodic paths are subsequently assessed from interactions and technological conflicts viewpoints, which results to recommendation of the most operationally appropriate solution.
