Objective Review the role of otolith detection in vestibular function selection. Methods 28 academic works and reports in relevant fields were cited. Results The selection and evaluation of otolith detection in the vestibular orientation function of flight cadets were introduced in detail, and the advantages and disadvantages of otolith detection, the application of VEMP and its application prospect in flight cadets were emphatically discussed. Conclusion VEMP can provide research support for the physical examination of flight cadets and medical selection of flight cadets, and realize the comprehensive evaluation of the function of the otoliths of flight cadets.
