The issue of automatically detecting traffic congestion to promptly warn traffic participants in a timely manner not only helps traffic participants choose their routes, but also contributes to solving traffic congestion. This is a challenging issue that has attracted the attention of many researchers. In this study, we propose the application of some deep learning models to classify traffic density, which is one of the factors used to predict traffic congestion.
