Working and/or living onboard vessels can impose a series of low- and high-frequency mechanical vibrations, as well as single-impulse shock loads on the human body (whole-body vibration). Low frequency vibrations are also imposed by vessel motions, which are produced by the various sea states in conjunction with vessel speed.
